I want to buy a hearing aid but I am worried that I’ll spend a lot of money

How long does the entire process take?

If you have a copy of the results of your hearing test (audiogram) done in the last 12 months, then determining the best hearing aid for you will take a few minutes. Simply answer our questions during the application process, and we will recommend the best device based on your hearing results and lifestyle questionnaire.

When you buy the hearing aid, it takes about 5-7 days to arrive at your home. We will contact you every 10 days to make sure all is going well. If you’re having problems, then our professional staff will be happy to help you. If all is going well, then well done!

For the first 30 days, you have the option to return the hearing aid. If you do return it, you have the option to try a different device that may resolve your problems, or get a full refund minus the fitting fee ($165).

Why am I quoted more than one type of hearing aid?

We take into account your hearing test and your lifestyle. Based on a combination of these, two or more different models may be quoted. For example, one model may be a little cheaper, the other may be a little more costly, one may be a little smaller, the other a little larger etc. However, all models quoted will be appropriate for you, based on your hearing and goals.

What happens if I don’t have a copy of my hearing test, can I still get a hearing aid?

As Hearing Professionals, we are obliged to prescribe you the best hearing aid possible and this can only be done if a proper hearing test can be supplied to us. Remember, this is YOUR hearing aid, prescribed for YOU only. For example, would you rather be wearing a pair of prescribed glasses from an optometrist, or a magnifying glass from a chemist?

There are a number of ways to get a hearing test:

  • Book yourself into a hearing clinic for a hearing test
  • Ask your local hearing clinic if they do “free” hearing tests
  • Ask your GP or family doctor to organise a hearing test for you.

Can I try the hearing aid first?

Yes. Although you pay for the hearing aid in full prior to delivery, with our No Quibbles return policy, we will refund your money (less a small fitting fee) if returned within the trial period. Call or email us if you need more details.
